About The Position
Join the team as a Winter Fishing Guide and provide memorable, safe fishing experiences for clients during the colder months. The role involves leading and instructing clients in winter fishing, sharing expertise about local fish and fishing practices, and adapting plans to weather conditions. The position is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and offers opportunities for growth and development in a supportive environment. The employer offers a benefits package that includes a 401(k) with employer match for eligible employees age 21 and older after 90 days of employment; health insurance eligibility for full-time employees, with potential eligibility for qualifying part-time employees after one year; paid time off starting on the first day of employment; employer-paid life insurance coverage up to $10,000 depending on employee class; and optional life and short- and long-term disability insurance for full-time employees.
Requirements
- Proven fishing experience, particularly in winter or cold-weather environments.
- Strong knowledge of local fish species, habitats, and fishing techniques.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to operate and maintain fishing and safety equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

- First aid and emergency response certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct clients on winter fishing techniques and safety procedures.
- Ensure participants' safety and well-being in cold weather conditions.
- Maintain and operate fishing equipment and safety gear.
- Advise clients on local fish species, habitats, and best practices.
- Monitor weather conditions and adapt plans accordingly.
- Foster a positive, engaging client experience and high customer satisfaction.
