About The Position
The Speer YMCA is seeking an energetic and passionate Zumba® Instructor to lead engaging group fitness classes. The instructor creates a welcoming and inclusive environment, motivates participants of all fitness levels, and delivers high-quality, safe, and fun workouts that align with YMCA standards.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Current Zumba® Instructor Certification is required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to connect with and engage diverse populations.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and inspire others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must pass a 10-panel drug screen.
- Must successfully complete a Level 2 background check through the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF).
Responsibilities
- Lead dynamic and safe Zumba® classes for members of varying fitness levels.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating class environment.
- Build strong relationships with members and encourage ongoing participation.
- Arrive prepared with structured class plans and appropriate music.
- Ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Provide modifications and support to accommodate different abilities.
- Represent the YMCA's mission and values in all interactions.
