About The Position

As a Warehouse Material Handler, you ensure products get where they need to be by receiving, storing, selecting, packing, and shipping warehouse inventory. The Zone uses a Warehouse Management System, so technology is required to perform the job. Graybar is an employee-owned company that offers employees opportunities to learn and grow into higher-level positions.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The expected pay rate is $18.50 per hour. Steel-toed boots are required. Regular, full-time employees may be eligible for a range of benefits; eligibility varies by location and role.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have good attendance and work ethic.
• Have no fear of heights.
• Meet the physical requirements of a warehouse environment, including lifting various loads, cutting wire, climbing ladders, and staying on the move in varying temperatures depending on location.
• Pass pre-employment physical testing.
• Use technology to perform work in the Warehouse Management System.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of experience.
• Prior experience in a large warehouse using a Warehouse Management System.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and push carts.
• Receive and store incoming material according to Warehouse Management System processes.
• Select, pack, and palletize shipments.
• Sort and pack less-than-truckload shipments.
• Conduct cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean warehouse, follow safety procedures, and perform daily safety inspections.
