About The Position

As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will receive, store, select, pack, and ship warehouse inventory to ensure products get where they need to go. The Zone uses a Warehouse Management System, so technology is required to perform the job. The position is part-time, Monday through Friday, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The expected starting pay rate is $19.00 per hour, depending on experience. Graybar is employee-owned and offers employees opportunities to learn and grow into higher-level positions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must perform warehouse physical requirements, including lifting various loads, cutting wire, climbing ladders, and staying on the move in varying temperatures depending on location; must pass pre-employment physical testing.
• Must have good attendance and work ethic.
• Must have no fear of heights.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of experience preferred.
• Prior experience in a large warehouse using a Warehouse Management System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and push carts.
• Receive and store incoming material in accordance with Warehouse Management System processes.
• Select, pack, and palletize shipments.
• Sort and pack less-than-truckload shipments and conduct cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean warehouse, follow safety procedures, and perform daily safety inspections.
