About The Position

Hydro Extrusions is an aluminium extrusion business with around 100 production sites in 40 countries and 20,000 employees. The company offers products and manufacturing capabilities for a range of industries and emphasizes a safe and supportive workplace. The Zone Leader assists with coordinating the department’s daily workflow and supports subordinate staff. The role helps maintain a safe production floor, facilitates team problem solving and continuous improvement, and requires learning all positions within the team and production cell.

Requirements

At least one year of machine operator experience within a production cell or similar manufacturing environment.
At least two years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Ability to communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.

Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow jobs through to completion.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow for subordinate staff within the department.
Assist with conducting constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Participate in accident or incident reviews and develop corrective actions when asked.
Facilitate the work team in problem solving, issue resolution, continuous improvement, and training.
Ensure a safe working environment is maintained on the production floor.
Learn all positions within the team and production cell.
