Zero to Five Consultant

Family & Children's Service of Ithaca•City of Ithaca, NY

About The Position

The Consultant for the Zero to Five Project provides clinically informed outreach, consultation, and education in Tompkins County for children ages 0–5 and the people who care for them, including family members, daycare staff, and pre-K teachers. This is a grant-funded role; its continuation depends on maintaining the funding, which F&CS has received for more than 10 years and anticipates will remain relatively stable. Approximately 75% of work time is spent on location in the Tompkins County community. Service locations and activities are developed in collaboration with the Program Lead according to community needs. The Consultant maintains a clear boundary between this program’s services and clinical services: the program does not provide clinical diagnosis or treatment, is not covered under HIPAA, and is not billable to insurance.
