About The Position

The Volume is seeking a YouTube Strategy Associate to join its digital team, focusing on YouTube podcast data collection and platform optimization. The position supports the Director of YouTube by tracking podcast performance and creating and maintaining spreadsheets that provide streamlined analytics to teams across the company. The role is a full-time, remote position and offers an introduction to sports podcasting, with paths for growth into other areas of The Volume’s YouTube team.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for organizing data.
• Hands-on experience publishing content on YouTube and other social media platforms.
• Familiarity with YouTube analytics and other social platform analytics.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to be coachable and multitask.
• Comfort collaborating cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, self-starter mindset.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
• Background in podcasts or sports media.
• Passion for data analysis and sports podcasting.

Responsibilities

• Track YouTube performance KPIs across shows.
• Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date data spreadsheets for podcast producers, the executive team, and other stakeholders.
• Analyze data trends and derive actionable insights to improve content performance across the podcast network.
• Assist with quality control of YouTube titles, descriptions, and thumbnails to ensure platform best practices are met.
• Assist with oversight of YouTube monetization best practices across the network.
• Work on day-to-day tasks with the Director of YouTube and Director of Social as time-sensitive data needs arise.
