The Chimo 5 Transition Home is a group care program that aims to support young people learn the skills to live full and complete lives in our community. The young people living at Chimo 5 Transition Home have status with the Alberta government - either Children’s Services or Family Supports for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) or Delegated First Nation Agencies (DFNA). The Chimo 5 program prepares young people to return to living with their families or to transition to adult living situations and adult services (i.e. Persons with Developmental Disabilities, AISH). We are currently seeking one qualified full-time Team Lead for our SOLO with Support program. We are excited to offer an opportunity to enhance the program while learning and growing in the Child and Youth Care field as we transition. As a Team Lead, you will build meaningful connections with youth, receive thorough orientation and training, and be part of a supportive team. Under the direction of the Supervisor, you will be responsible for creating and developing opportunities to enhance Chimo's Group Care program. This may include team development, supporting the staffing model, promoting staff development, and implementing Signs of Belonging. Expected duties include on-call responsibilities, scheduling, flexibility to work shifts, direct work with youth and families, case planning, cultural connections, family engagement, and supporting the ongoing development of the position.
