Youth Tumbling Coach Rec Program
About The Position
ACTIVSTARS is hiring youth tumbling coaches to teach children ages 7–18. The role involves coaching basic to Level 2 All-Star tumbling skills in one to three evening sessions per week on a consistent day throughout the semester. Classes are one hour long, with one or two classes per evening depending on enrollment at the location. Paid training covers the organization’s teaching guidelines and records, and includes assisting a veteran coach to observe how classes are conducted. The position is described as a part-time opportunity and may suit college students, tumbling enthusiasts, and former cheerleaders with an established career.
Requirements
- Previous tumbling experience.
- Enjoy working with children ages 7–18.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have reliable transportation on a weekly basis.
- Be enthusiastic, positive, and passionate about tumbling.
- Be able to lead by example and serve as a role model to youth.
Nice To Haves
- Coaching experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for practices and create lesson plans.
- Teach students safely and effectively.
- Oversee practice check-ins.
- Help athletes progress.
