As a Youth Support Worker, you will play an important role in supporting children who have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, or challenging life circumstances. For more than 40 years, Crossroads Programs, Inc. has provided safe and supportive residential treatment opportunities and therapeutic services to empower youth ages 5 to 21. Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past six months.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to successfully complete: Physical screening, Drug screening, Criminal Record History Clearance, FBI Clearance, Child Abuse History Clearance.
  • Safety Crisis Management (SCM) Certification within one week of hire.
  • Requires active participation in physically demanding activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and support to up to five residents.
  • Supervise children and maintain a safe, structured environment.
  • Assist with meal preparation and daily activities.
  • Provide transportation to appointments and activities.
  • Build positive relationships with children through patience and understanding.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide consistent therapeutic care.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.
  • Support child development, behavior management, and therapeutic strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and complete resident records.
  • Complete progress notes and incident reports.
  • Communicate important updates with the treatment team.
  • Follow program policies and safety procedures.
