About The Position

ViaQuest ICFs is hiring a Youth Support Specialist (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a youth home in Mansfield. The role focuses on fostering individuals’ independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety. No prior experience is required; training is provided in its entirety, including paid training and daily orientation.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor vehicle record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria: no OVI/DUI, reckless operation, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over the posted limit; no more than two moving violations in the last two years or more than five points.
• Ability to push, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds and to climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
