About The Position

ViaQuest ICFs is hiring a Youth Support Specialist (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. The role focuses on fostering individuals’ independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety. No prior experience is required; training is provided in its entirety.

The position may suit people interested in beginning a healthcare career or gaining experience in the intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) field, including nursing assistants, students, high school graduates, and retirees. A variety of schedules are available.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Driving record must meet requirements, including no OVI/DUI, reckless operation, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over the posted limit; no more than two moving violations in the last two years or more than five points.
• Reliable vehicle with active insurance.
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
