About The Position

Mad Science is hiring a part-time Youth STEM instructor with a flexible schedule. This role involves teaching science workshops to children from Pre-K to 6th grade. The company is a team of STEM-loving individuals who transform laboratory science into fun, interactive learning experiences. They believe in working smart, having a good time, and collaborating to ensure students and their families are thrilled by their learning experience. The job is described as different and exciting, with instructors working with kids in programs they love. Instructors can work 1 to 5 days a week, teaching science workshops in the afternoon and/or on weekends. Mad Science provides all supplies, equipment, and curriculum for easy-to-teach, fun science classes. Most students are in K-5th grade, and the instructor will teach basic science concepts in a fun and engaging way.

Requirements

Flexible, creative, engaging, and have excellent verbal communication skills.
Love children, science, teaching, and/or acting.
Own/have regular access to a car.
Thrive in environments with support and autonomy.
Excited by non-traditional work schedules and the gig economy.
Not afraid to try new things and love variety.
Ability to work 1 to 5 days a week, teaching afternoon and/or weekend workshops.
Willingness to work 3-10 hours per week, depending on availability.
