About The Position

Mad Science is hiring! We are a team of STEM-loving folks who spend our days transforming laboratory science into fun, interactive learning experiences for youth from Pre-K to 6th grade. We believe in working smart and having a good time. We all wear many hats and we work collaboratively to get things done and ensure that our students and their families are thrilled by their learning experience. The job is different and exciting, with a great time had with the kids who love our programs. You can work anywhere from 1 day to 5 days a week teaching science workshops during the afternoon and/or weekends. We provide ALL supplies, equipment and curriculum to teach the EASY, yet fun science classes. Most of our Jr. Scientists are in K-5th grade, you'll teach basic science concepts in a fun and engaging way.

Requirements

Flexible, creative, engaging and have excellent verbal communication skills.
Love children, science, teaching and/or acting.
Own/have regular access to a car.
Thrive in environments where you get a lot of support but function with a great deal of autonomy.
Excited by non-traditional work schedules because you love the gig economy!
Aren't afraid to try new things and love variety.
Willingness to wear many hats and work collaboratively.
Willingness to drive to schools, daycares, or park and rec centers.
Ability to lead a one-hour science lesson.
Willingness to undergo paid training.
