Youth Sports Official
About The Position
The Brentwood YMCA is seeking a Youth Sports Official who loves sports, thrives in high-energy environments, and has a heart for helping kids grow through play. This role involves ensuring fairness, fun, and fostering sportsmanship during youth soccer games. The official will be responsible for making calls, managing the game clock, and helping young players understand the rules to create a safe, positive, and exciting game day experience. Responsibilities also include checking equipment, assisting with setup and cleanup, communicating with coaches, embodying the Y's core values as a role model, attending trainings, completing game reports, and making every game day memorable.
Requirements
- Minimum Age: 16
- CPR Pro / AED / First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
- Attend New Hire Orientation before your first shift
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience officiating youth or recreational sports is a big plus
- A passion for youth development and sportsmanship
- Knowledge of game rules for soccer
Responsibilities
- Make calls and manage the game clock during soccer games.
