About The Position

The Donelson-Hermitage YMCA is seeking a Youth Sports Official to ensure youth soccer games run smoothly. This role involves making calls, managing the game clock, and helping young players understand the rules to create a safe, positive, and exciting game day experience. Responsibilities also include checking equipment, assisting with setup and cleanup, communicating with coaches, and embodying the Y's core values as a role model. The official will also attend trainings, complete game reports, and contribute to memorable game days.

Requirements

Minimum Age: 16
CPR Pro / AED / First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
Attend New Hire Orientation before your first shift
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience officiating youth or recreational sports
A passion for youth development and sportsmanship
Knowledge of game rules for soccer

Responsibilities

Make calls and manage the game clock during soccer games.
Help young players understand the rules of the game.
Ensure a safe, positive, and exciting game day experience.
