About The Position

Soccer Shots DuPage County is looking for enthusiastic coaches to join our team this fall! Our coaches introduce children ages 2-8 to soccer through engaging, age-appropriate sessions that build confidence, character, and a love for physical activity. No soccer coaching experience? No problem. We provide comprehensive paid training and all the tools you need to be successful. Soccer Shots is an award-winning children's soccer program that serves preschools, childcare centers, parks, and community locations throughout DuPage County. Our curriculum is designed by early childhood education specialists and soccer professionals to create a fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate experience for every child. Every Soccer Shots coach completes our comprehensive training and certification process. Coaches receive ongoing support, evaluations, and professional development to ensure they are equipped to provide an exceptional experience for every child. Working with children is not something we take lightly. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping children build confidence, develop important life skills, and experience success both on and off the field.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Reliable transportation to locations throughout DuPage County
  • Daily access to a smartphone and internet
  • Ability to pass a background check, fingerprinting, and medical screening in accordance with DCFS requirements
  • Ability to work weekday afternoons (approximately 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with young children is strongly preferred
  • Teaching, coaching, childcare, camp counseling, or education experience is a plus
  • Soccer experience is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time and prepared for every session.
  • Effectively manage groups of 5-10 children.
  • Communicate professionally with families, school staff, and Soccer Shots leadership.
  • Be active, enthusiastic, and encouraging.
  • Be silly, imaginative, and interactive with young children.
  • Create a fun and positive learning environment.
  • Be friendly, approachable, and dependable.
  • Represent Soccer Shots positively at all locations.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
