Overnight Youth Service Worker - Open Interviews
About The Position
Tanager is hiring a Youth Service Worker for its Inpatient Team at the Main Campus in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role delivers client-centered, strengths-based, professional, and compassionate direct care to youth. The worker helps ensure the safety, supervision, and wellbeing of youth in care; plans and leads activities that promote growth, trust, and resilience; and builds therapeutic relationships rooted in respect, empathy, and consistency. Shifts are 10 hours, typically scheduled from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Tanager is a nonprofit children's human services agency serving children and families in Linn County. Founded in 1879, it serves more than 4,000 children and teens annually through prevention, treatment, and outreach programs. The organization describes its mission as inspiring, empowering, and healing.
Requirements
- Must be at least 20 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of previous direct care support experience or experience working with children, youth, or families in a professional setting.
