About The Position
Tanager is hiring Youth Service Workers for its Inpatient Team at the Main Campus in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role provides direct care that is client-centered, strengths-based, professional, and compassionate. Youth Service Workers help ensure the safety, supervision, and wellbeing of youth in Tanager’s care. They also plan and lead activities that support growth, trust, and resilience, and build therapeutic relationships with youth based on respect, empathy, and consistency. Tanager serves children and families in Linn County through prevention, treatment, and outreach programs. The organization describes its mission as inspiring, empowering, and healing. Open interviews are scheduled for October 19, 21, 26, and 28, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Tanager’s Main Office, 2309 C St SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404. The job is listed as full-time or part-time, with a salary range of $17.00 to $18.00 per hour and any shift.
Requirements
- Must be at least 20 years old.
- One year of previous direct experience working with children, youth, or families in a professional setting, or an associate’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, nursing, criminal justice, or a related human services field.
- Completion of two years of college courses toward a bachelor’s degree in a related field qualifies in place of the associate’s degree.
