About The Position

Conducts safety audits, documentation of safety procedures, and completes reports addressing the efforts to protect youth. Conducts fact-finding investigations and analysis of safety measures. Examines, evaluates, and reports on the adequacy and effectiveness of the systems designed to ensure the protection and safety of the youth receiving Boys Town Services. Conducts proactive audits in regards to youth safety and the systems in place. Organizes data collection activities for the audit office. Analyzes reports and data trends to draw conclusions regarding the completion and reporting of safety measures within Boys Town services. Participates in and completes Fact Finding Investigations, including interviewing youth and staff. Collaborates internally to ensure proper processes are followed in accordance to confidentiality and documentation. Prepares and presents reports of results from the audits and investigations. Communicates departmental recommendations. Assumes responsibilities of the area director as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience required.
  • Available to travel as necessary required.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to youth care.
  • High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization and with external business contacts in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to build and sustain successful, professional relationships.
  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ability to quickly make decisions in sensitive and sometimes critical areas and present decisions to appropriate individuals.
  • Ability to adapt responses to situations while maintaining procedural and regulatory integrity.
  • Strong knowledge of Boys Town model and fidelity of care.
