Youth Residential Assistant (Gresham - Graveyard)
About The Position
The overnight Residential Assistant is responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and supervision of youth residing in a residential treatment facility. This role provides trauma-informed support, maintains a safe and structured environment, monitors youth throughout the night, responds to emergencies, and completes required documentation in compliance with NARA policies and regulatory requirements. Requirements
- Driving is a requirement for this position
- Current, active driver's license
- Current, active auto insurance
- Over the age of 23 (per our insurance policy)

- Demonstrated ability to treat clients and staff with respect and dignity
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting youth with substance use, mental health, or behavioral challenges.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and youth development principles.
- Familiarity with 12-Step recovery concepts and substance use treatment approaches.
- Addiction counseling coursework, certification, or related training.
- Experience working with Native American and/or Alaska Native communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide overnight supervision and support to youth in a residential treatment setting using trauma-informed care practices.
- Conduct routine safety checks, bed checks, and facility rounds to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while enforcing program rules and expectations.
- Medication administration and complete necessary documentation.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including shift logs, incident reports, and communication records.
- Communicate with supervisors, on-call staff, and treatment team members regarding resident needs and incidents.
- Assist with morning wake-up routines and shift transitions.
- Perform light housekeeping, filing, and other duties to support residential operations.
- Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and team debriefings.
