About The Position

As the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows celebrates its 50th Anniversary of serving our community, we are looking for a Site Coordinator to oversee daily site operations at our Virginia Palmer Elementary School location, and ensure the delivery of high-quality programs aligning with Club standards and youth development outcomes. This role provides leadership to staff and volunteers, maintains a safe and well-managed environment, serves as a primary contact for families, and represents the Club within the community while ensuring compliance, resource management, and program quality. Our Mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, productive, responsible citizens.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working with youth in a professional setting required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a diverse population, and represent BGCTM professionally to the community.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to produce and provide data/reports in a timely manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Able to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Must be able to perform duties which require walking, talking, hearing, standing, sitting, and/or bending for long periods of time.
  • May occasionally be required to kneel, run and/or climb.
  • Must be able to use hands and arms to enter data into the computer, use the telephone and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to perform surface and deep cleaning appropriately using potentially hazardous cleaners including bleach, as needed.
  • Must be able to lift, move manipulate and or hold objects up to 45 pounds.
  • Provide 3 professional references.
  • Complete a drug screen, background check, and fingerprint check.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs to youth and teens or a combination of education and relevant professional preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build leadership skills by managing a team, building a positive club culture, and participating in ongoing professional development.
  • Nurture great relationships with members and parents to communicate club benefits, programs, policies, and practices.
  • Hone administrative and managerial skills through training related to grants, finance, and reporting procedures.
  • Actively recruit and register new members and families, and promote consistent member participation in Club programs.
  • Maintain the safety of our members and staff and ensure an optimal Club experience for all.
