About The Position

Gunnison County is seeking a seasonal employee for the Public Works Department. This role involves a variety of tasks related to road projects, environmental maintenance, and public services. The position is supported by grant funding, and continued employment is contingent on funding availability. The intern will gain experience in diverse operational aspects of county public works.

Responsibilities

• Flagging for various road projects
• Cleaning out culverts
• Fencing
• Tree and brush removal
• Sign installation
• Servicing and cleaning pickup trucks and equipment
• Assisting the recycling center and landfill
• Trail work
