About The Position

Amazing Athletes of Greater Atlanta is hiring coaches for its Multi-Sport and Martial Arts enrichment programs. Coaches may teach one or both programs and use ready-made curriculums; paid training is provided. New coaches may work 10–25 classes per week and can earn up to $36 per hour, based on experience and performance.

Classes take place at preschools and day-care centers, elementary schools, parks, and recreation centers. The programs are centered in Suwanee, Georgia, and extend to nearby cities. Coaches travel between class locations. Classes are generally scheduled in the morning and early afternoon, Monday through Friday. The Karate Zoo schedule is set to begin immediately, with weekday morning classes at different schools across the territory; additional afternoon programming is ready to launch.

Coaches are expected to help children succeed through individual attention, positive reinforcement, and a fun, non-competitive approach. They follow the Amazing Athletes Coaching Manual and Curriculum, welcome feedback, and build relationships with children, parents, teachers, and directors. The position offers flexible scheduling, paid training, professional development, bonus programs, and a potential pathway to full-time employment or business ownership, subject to availability and performance.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
• Must pass a Georgia comprehensive background check with fingerprinting.
• Must be available to start and train immediately for a few hours each week.
• Must desire a long-term commitment and development within the company.
• The right coach must be available for the listed weekday schedule.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with youth and/or preschool-age children, such as as a preschool teacher, camp counselor, soccer coach, elementary educator, substitute teacher, coach, gym teacher, personal trainer, or fitness instructor.
• Passion for sports and fitness.
• Background in fitness, athletics, sports, dance, cheer, gymnastics, martial arts, exercise science, kinesiology, or physical education.
• First Aid Certification.
• Coaching experience with young children.
• Ideally live within 30 minutes of the center of the territory in Suwanee, Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Prepare in advance to teach each class and arrive early.
• Build strong relationships with parents, teachers, directors, and children.
• Coach classes with fun, organization, and structure.
• Be outgoing and engage every child in every class.
• Use individual attention, positive reinforcement, and a non-competitive approach to help children succeed.

• Travel to assigned class locations.
• Be open to feedback and strive to improve.
