About The Position

Amazing Athletes of Greater Atlanta is hiring coaches for its Multi-Sport and Martial Arts enrichment programs. Coaches may teach multi-sport classes, martial arts classes, or both. Programs use ready-made curricula, and paid training is provided. New coaches can work 10–25 classes per week and earn up to $36 per hour, based on experience and performance. The role offers a potential pathway to full-time employment or business ownership, subject to availability and performance.

Classes take place at preschools and day-care centers, elementary schools, parks, and recreation centers. The territory is centered in Suwanee, Georgia, and includes surrounding cities. Coaches travel to class locations. The schedule generally includes weekday morning and early-afternoon classes. The KARATE ZOO schedule begins immediately with Monday–Friday morning classes at different schools in the territory, with additional afternoon programming ready for launch.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
• Must pass a Georgia comprehensive background check with fingerprinting.
• Must be available to start and train immediately for a few hours each week.
• Desire to provide a long-term commitment and develop within the company.
• Ability to work the stated weekday schedule; KARATE ZOO coaches are required for Monday–Friday morning classes at different schools in the territory.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with youth and/or preschool-age children, such as as a preschool teacher, camp counselor, soccer coach, elementary educator, substitute teacher, coach, gym teacher, personal trainer, or fitness instructor.
• Passion for sports and fitness.
• Background in fitness or a related area, such as athletics, sports, dance, cheer, gymnastics, martial arts, exercise science, kinesiology, or physical education.
• First Aid Certification.
• Coaching experience with young children.
• Ideally live within 30 minutes of Suwanee, Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Prepare in advance to teach classes and arrive early.
• Build strong relationships with parents, teachers, directors, and children.
• Coach classes with organization and structure while making them fun.
• Be outgoing and engage every child in every class.
• Use individual attention to help every child succeed.
• Use a non-competitive approach to keep classes fun and stress-free.
• Use positive reinforcement to encourage improvement and celebrate success.
• Follow the Amazing Athletes Coaching Manual and Curriculum.
• Remain open-minded, receptive to feedback, and committed to improving.
• Travel to class locations and teach multi-sport or martial arts programs.
