Frontier Behavioral Health (FBH) is seeking a Youth Peer Support Specialist/Trainee to join their Children, Youth, & Family Mobile Crisis Team. This non-profit organization has a long-standing presence in Spokane and focuses on providing evidence-based treatment for behavioral health issues across all age groups. As a Trauma-Informed Care Organization, FBH is dedicated to client recovery and empowering them to lead fulfilling lives. The Children, Youth, and Family Mobile Crisis Team operates 24/7, 365 days a year, providing crisis services to children and youth. This specialized team offers rapid response, assessment, crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and coordination of community services, including engagement and treatment. The role involves outreach to homes, hospitals, schools, correctional facilities, and any location where children, youth, and families are experiencing a crisis. The Youth Peer Support Specialist will work with children and youth in their homes and communities, focusing on their strengths, age, and cultural heritage to prevent hospitalization, incarceration, or out-of-home placement. Close communication with team members and other staff is essential to ensure high-quality services. Peer Support Services are designed to promote recovery, self-advocacy, development of natural supports, maintenance of community living skills, and self-sufficiency.
