YOUTH OUTREACH WORKER
About The Position
The Family Support Project (FSP), based in Hyannis, MA, provides support and stabilization services for families with adolescent children, ages 12 to 17. These services are for families who are at risk of out-of-home placement, have been reunified from foster care or more restrictive placements, or are planning for step down from a residential or hospitalization program. The Family Support Project offers a variety of supervised services to families and adolescents, functioning as an after-school program during the school year and a day program during school vacations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of experience working with youth
- Must be 21+
- Must have a current valid driver's license
- Ability to drive for longer periods of time
- Requires transportation to all areas of the Cape
- Requires good organizational skills
- Requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Nice To Haves
- Associates degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide support and stabilization services for families with adolescent children.
- Function as an after-school program during the school year.
- Function as a day program during school vacations.
