About The Position

The Youth Multimedia Learning Specialist will present digital learning experiences appropriate to age groups, model appropriate processes, and lead participants to the satisfactory conclusion of activities. This role involves creating age-appropriate digital activities, documenting them, and preparing digital content for display. The specialist will coordinate with agency staff to plan special events, promote activities, and create content for visit packets and flyers. Additionally, they will select suitable software and hardware tools, research new tools, and determine incorporation methods and scripts for other Activity Guides. The position also includes evaluating digital activities and maintaining, updating, troubleshooting, and repairing technology not directly supported by IT, such as tablets, robotic systems, virtual reality equipment, 3D printers, conventional printers, and projectors. The specialist will learn and demonstrate proficiency with all software included in laptop and tablet builds, including productivity software, web browsers, image editing, audio recording, animation, drawing, coding, and physics simulations. The role requires the ability to work the normally scheduled work time and cope with daily job-related stress.

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree
  • Have previous experience working with people ages 0-18
  • Possess a high degree of digital literacy.
