Youth Ministry Director at Fort Carson, Colorado

Young Life•Colorado Springs, CO

About The Position

The Youth Ministry Director leads and oversees the overall Young Life Military program, Club Beyond, an ecumenically focused and outreach-oriented ministry serving teens from active-duty military families. The role builds a safe, Christ-centered community where teens can develop friendships, experience belonging, build hope, and develop resilience amid frequent moves and change. Staff members serve relationally by being present in teens’ lives and walking alongside them. The Director develops relationships with teens, adults, the local community, the military installation, and the chapel community. The role includes outreach to teens who are not connected to a church, discipleship for Christian teens, and leading and equipping volunteers to deliver hands-on middle- and high-school Christian youth programs. The Director must be comfortable serving in a military community with high turnover among teens, families, chaplains, and volunteers, and must respect and embrace military culture. Club Beyond describes its ministry as Christ-centered and exclusively military-focused, using incarnational methods and an ecumenical perspective. The organization values strategic partnerships, professionalism, and excellent stewardship. Staff are required to live near the community where they serve. The position is full-time, with salary based on experience, responsibility, and fundraising levels. It includes full health coverage, expense reimbursement for office- and ministry-related mileage, and training and career development.
