About The Position

The Youth Ministry Director leads and oversees Club Beyond, Young Life Military’s ecumenically focused, outreach-oriented program for teens in military communities. The ministry provides military teens with a safe, Christ-centered community where they can build friendships, develop a sense of belonging, and experience the truth of God’s love and purpose. Staff work alongside teens and adults and engage with local communities, military installations, and chapel communities. Staff are required to live near the community where they serve. Openings are available at military installations in the United States and overseas, including Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The role involves developing community outreach to teens who are not connected to a church, discipling Christian teens, and leading and equipping volunteers to deliver hands-on middle- and high-school youth programs. The director is expected to embrace military culture and adapt to frequent turnover among teens, families, chaplains, and volunteers. Club Beyond describes its approach as Christ-centered, exclusively military-focused, incarnational, ecumenical, partnership-oriented, professional, and committed to excellent stewardship. The position is offered as full-time or part-time, depending on the opening. Full-time salary is based on experience, responsibility, and fundraising levels, with a stated base salary range of $45,000–$60,000. A location-dependent cost-of-living adjustment may also be available. The organization provides annual national funding of $16,667.
