About The Position

Rite of Passage is hiring a part-time Youth Care Worker at Willard Peak Residential in Brigham City, Utah. Willard Peak Residential is a Utah Network on Juveniles Offending Sexually (NOJOS) certified level-six treatment program licensed to serve up to eight male youth ages 12 to 15 who have engaged in sexual misconduct or sexually reactive behaviors and are referred by the Division of Juvenile Justice Services (DJJS) or Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) for code YSF-Y. Youth Support Workers create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for youth. They provide safety, around-the-clock supervision, mediation, crisis management, and social, educational, and recreational support in accordance with the daily schedule. The role also involves monitoring and documenting youth behaviors and activities, transporting youth in company vehicles, and communicating information about youth concerns, behavior changes, emotions, academic progress, and overall disposition so treatment plans can be adjusted to support their success. Pay is $15.00 per hour, depending on experience and education. The schedule includes weekends. The position offers a 401(k) match of up to 6% after one year of employment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 21 years old.
Pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical screening, and TB screening.

Responsibilities

Provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for youth.
Provide mediation and crisis management.
Provide social, educational, and recreational support while following the daily schedule.
Conduct physical counts of students within the living area and update the check sheet as required by site operations.
Monitor and document client behaviors and activities.
Transport youth in company vehicles.
Communicate youth-related concerns, behavior changes, emotions, academic progress, and overall disposition to help ensure treatment plans are adjusted to support youth success.
