About The Position

Community Teamwork is a private non-profit organization located in Lowell MA. We employee over 600 employees and are a catalyst for social change. We leverage our programs, our partnerships, and our collective voice to foster equity, compassion, and community engagement by creating housing, education, and economic opportunities. We are seeking Youth Housing Manager who will be responsible for oversight of day-to-day operations of the department’s Transitional Housing and Rapid Rehousing sites, rental assistance programs and temporary housing sites for homeless youth and young adult populations. This position provides supervision for both the Youth Individual and Family Housing Case Management teams. This position oversees scheduling of staff, communication across various departments to ensure the health and safety of program participants is being upheld.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent education
  • 3+ years of experience working in a human service related field
  • Demonstrated history of oversight of housing programs
  • Understanding case management functions and how they relate to a family’s progress
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing budgets, tracking outcomes and reporting to funders
  • Previous experience supervising staff
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient computer skills required in basic computer software
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Excellent crisis management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with and meet the needs of people from a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures, and identities, including underserved communities and people from the different racial groups, socioeconomic statuses, nationalities, and languages that make up CTI’s clientele

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to identify barriers and improve services
  • Directly supervise staff and day to day operations, including program budgets
  • Oversight and management of rental assistance programming in accordance with agency and grant requirements
  • Ensure appropriate staffing through assigning and evaluating staff work schedules
  • Work closely with the Leadership Team and case managers to provide appropriate supportive services to participants
  • Support staff through effective supervision, advocacy, and training
  • Ensure compliance with program standards, regulations, and rules
  • Assist with managing emergencies, including support of 24/7 on-call systems
  • Ensure effective and efficient communication with local, state and federal funders
  • Develop, implement, and uphold a supportive and inclusive climate within programming
  • Monitor data collection and reporting requirements of the agency and funders
  • Identify, develop and preserve partnership relationships with stakeholders
  • Uphold the values of CTI – Equity, Integrity, Compassion
