About The Position

Coach Across America is a national service organization founded in 2010 that leverages the power of coaches to positively impact vulnerable youth and their communities through sports. They partner with local nonprofits, schools, and sports organizations to support and train AmeriCorps coaches for a one-year service term in underserved communities. The role involves serving at the Washington Area Frisbee Club (WAFC), a youth and adult sports organization committed to belonging, access, equity, and growth. WAFC offers year-round Ultimate Frisbee programming, including leagues, tournaments, travel teams, summer camps, and clinics, primarily in the DC metro area. Coaches receive sports-based youth development training to foster youth mental and physical well-being, impacting approximately 80-100 youth aged 6 to 17. Collaboration with WAFC staff and partner organizations is key to leading skill clinics, facilitating practices, and mentoring players.
