About The Position

Youth Facility Supervisor 2 - Living Unit Manager at Tillamook Youth Correctional Facility. In this role, you will lead and manage the daily operations of a 24/7 close custody living unit while serving as an integral member of the facility leadership team. You will oversee the care, supervision, safety, and rehabilitation of adjudicated youth and individuals referred from the Department of Corrections within a secure environment. The focus is on fostering a living unit culture grounded in a developmental approach and supported through consistent implementation of core practices. You will also ensure the effective and efficient operation of both the living unit and the facility, gaining meaningful experience in operational leadership and service excellence.

Requirements

  • Four Years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR One year of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Driving is an essential function of this position. A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position.
  • Must serve as a "mandatory reporter" of child abuse.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in treatment and development-focused group processes to assess and support staff professionalism and engagement
  • Develop and implement systems, schedules, and structures that promote staff participation in daily living, treatment, and skill-building aligned with established goals and outcomes
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of agency policies, facility operating procedures, and operational protocols; may serve as Officer-of-the-Day and be subject to recall during facility emergencies
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent on strategic planning for both the facility and agency
  • Facilitate the Oregon Youth Authority Performance Management System (OPMS)
  • Coordinate Performance-Based Standards (PbS)
  • Serve as the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Compliance Manager
  • Act as a physical intervention master instructor and reviewer
  • Assume Officer-of-the-Day responsibilities in the absence of senior leadership
  • Serve in an Acting Superintendent capacity when required
