About The Position

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and skills gained through experience.
  • 5 years of Hands-on experience in facility maintenance or a related environment, with the ability to perform a variety of skilled tasks across building systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications, including HAZMAT Level I and forklift operation.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
  • The physical capability to safely lift and move items up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting facilities in an industrial, manufacturing, or large commercial environment.
  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and basic work order systems.
  • Exposure to coordinating work with multiple contractors or service providers.
  • Additional technical training or certifications related to electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or building systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a broad range of facility maintenance activities, including conference room setups, office and workspace moves, cubicle construction, hazardous materials staging, basic plumbing repairs, and lighting maintenance such as lamp and ballast replacement.
  • Identify maintenance needs independently, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs using sound judgment, escalating the most complex matters when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with contractors and service partners across landscaping, janitorial, cafeteria, HVAC, fire protection systems, and hazardous materials to ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and safely.
  • Conduct daily check-ins with internal customers and complete visual inspections to confirm work quality and readiness of spaces for use.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers regarding task status, completion, and next steps.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and time spent to support operational transparency and planning.
  • Apply working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems to perform installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Support a safe work environment by following established safety practices, completing required training, and maintaining certifications such as HAZMAT Level I and forklift operation.
  • Safely move and handle materials and equipment, including lifting items up to 50 pounds with appropriate assistance or tools when needed.
