About The Position

URBAN TXT: Teens Exploring Technology is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization focused on inspiring young men of color to become confident leaders who use technology as a tool to improve their communities. Our interdisciplinary programs develop leadership, entrepreneurship, design, and coding skills among underrepresented youth.

The Youth Engagement and Programs Associate works directly with young people participating in URBAN TXT programs and services. This role focuses on building strong relationships with youth, creating meaningful program experiences, supporting student recruitment and outreach, and helping TXT continuously improve the way its youth programs and workshops are delivered.

The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with young people, can confidently lead activities and presentations, and is organized, proactive, and committed to creating high-quality experiences for TXT students.

Requirements

• Must successfully complete a background check.
• Must be willing to work occasional evenings and Saturdays based on program and event needs.

Responsibilities

• Engage and build strong relationships with youth through TXT programs and services.
• Plan and lead youth activities, workshops, and events.
• Support student recruitment and outreach efforts, including presentations at schools.
• Help develop and improve the processes, systems, and practices behind TXT youth programs and workshops.
