About The Position

This is an active, hands-on role in an afterschool environment where relationships matter. The goal is to create a safe, welcoming place where youth feel supported, encouraged, and excited to be there. The role requires flexibility, the ability to think on your feet, and willingness to jump in where needed. Teamwork and initiative are important in this small community setting. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, with specific age requirements for working with middle school (21+) and high school (23+) youth. Previous experience with youth is helpful, but the ability to connect, stay positive, and consistently show up is most important.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Staff working with middle school youth must be at least 21 years old
  • Staff working with high school youth must be at least 23 years old
  • Ability to connect with youth
  • Ability to stay positive
  • Ability to consistently show up for youth
  • Complete background checks
  • Complete required training
  • Provide health documentation (TB test, proof of MMR vaccination or immunity)
