Youth Development Professional - Elementary School
About The Position
The Youth Development Professional works at the Mount Vernon Clubhouse of Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County, supporting elementary-age youth. The role involves creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where young people feel supported and excited to participate. The professional works alongside Club staff to build meaningful relationships and provide positive, engaging experiences. Activities may include group games, art projects, STEM activities, sports, music, cooking, science, and creative games, as well as helping youth navigate friendships, build confidence, and explore interests. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be available Monday through Friday.
- Be flexible, reliable, patient, and ready to participate actively.
- Enjoy working with elementary-age youth and bring positive energy, creativity, and encouragement.
Responsibilities
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for youth.
- Lead or support engaging activities such as group games, art projects, STEM activities, sports, music, cooking, science, and creative games.
- Encourage youth to try new things, build confidence, explore interests, and navigate friendships.
