About The Position

Euro School of Tennis is seeking an enthusiastic after-school dance teacher to lead engaging classes for elementary school students and help them build confidence, coordination, and creativity. Classes serve approximately 8–10 students ages 5–10 in grades K–5 and take place at various elementary schools across the Bay Area. Classes are generally 1–1.5 hours long and may begin between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Two or more days per week are preferred; the posting lists approximately 2–5 hours weekly. Compensation is $50–$65 per class in the location details and $50–$65 per hour in the compensation statement.

The instructor will attend up to two days of unpaid training or shadowing to learn the program. Candidates must be local to the US or already have the necessary work visa; the employer does not provide visa assistance.

Requirements

• Be at least 19 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Enjoy working with children and be able to manage a class.
• Be reliable, punctual, flexible, professional, and enthusiastic.
• Have strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Have reliable transportation across assigned Bay Area locations.
• Be able to complete required employment screening and documentation.
• Be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
• Be local to the US or already have the necessary work visa; the employer does not provide visa assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Dance teaching or performance experience is preferred but not required.
• Availability two or more days per week is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage classes of approximately 8–10 students ages 5–10 in grades K–5.
• Teach age-appropriate dance activities and routines in a fun, supportive environment.
• Attend up to two days of unpaid training or shadowing to learn the program.
• Prepare and set up any required equipment.
• Take attendance and manage student sign-in and sign-out.
• Communicate with parents and school staff as needed and provide constructive feedback on student progress.
• Take session photos following program guidance.
