About The Position

Euro School of Tennis is seeking an enthusiastic After-School Dance Teacher to lead engaging dance classes for elementary school students across the Bay Area. The instructor will help students ages 5–10 in grades K–5 build confidence, coordination, and creativity through age-appropriate dance activities and routines in a fun, supportive environment. Classes typically have approximately 8–10 students.

Classes are generally 1–1.5 hours long and may start between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Two or more days per week are preferred; the posting lists approximately 2–5 hours of work weekly. The position is part-time and in person at various elementary schools. Pay is $50–$65 per class.

The instructor will attend up to two days of unpaid training or shadowing to learn the program. Applicants must be local to the US or already have the necessary work visa; the employer does not provide visa assistance.

Requirements

• Be at least 19 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Enjoy working with children and be able to manage a class.
• Be reliable, punctual, flexible, professional, and enthusiastic.
• Have strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Have reliable transportation across assigned Bay Area locations.
• Be able to complete required employment screening and documentation.
• Be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
• Be local to the US or already hold the necessary work visa; the employer does not provide visa assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Dance teaching or performance experience is preferred, but not required.
• Availability two or more days per week is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage classes of approximately 8–10 students ages 5–10 in grades K–5.
• Teach age-appropriate dance activities and routines in a fun, supportive environment.
• Attend up to two days of unpaid training or shadowing to learn the program.
• Prepare and set up any required equipment.
• Take attendance and manage student sign-in and sign-out.
• Communicate with parents and school staff as needed and provide constructive feedback on student progress.
• Take session photos following program guidance.
