About The Position

The Youth Dance Instructor teaches dance sessions for children ages 5–10 at elementary schools across the Bay Area. Classes take place in person Monday through Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. This part-time position typically involves teaching one class per day, lasting about one hour, with the possibility of an additional 30 minutes of pre-care. Programs focus on providing a fun, energetic, and positive environment for younger and beginner-level students. Coaches receive company-provided equipment and lesson plans, and must attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting. The position is listed at 2–5 hours per week and pays $50–$65 per session.

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years old when applying.
Must currently live locally and be available for in-person work.
Enjoy working with children in a positive and active setting.
Be flexible, reliable, and punctual.
Have reliable transportation.
Be fully vaccinated and willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting work.
Complete and submit a photo and short biography for the company website, including an introduction to sports experience.
Already be eligible to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice To Haves

Experience in dance, coaching, or working with children is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Teach classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.
Manage classes of 8–16 students and maintain a positive environment.
Attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting.
Take attendance, manage student sign-ins, and interact with parents and school staff.
Capture a few class photos for documentation.
Use reliable transportation to travel to program locations.
