About The Position

Supervise and manage Youth Paraprofessionals and Youth Community Support Workers for the purpose of assuring quality clinical services, documentation, and professional conduct as it relates to patient care and professionalism. The Clinical Manager evaluates the team in conjunction with appropriate psychiatric support to ensure excellence through courteous, helpful, and respectful services to program consumers. This position is hybrid and will require in office days as scheduled by your manager. Workers Supervised: Youth Community Support Workers (CSW), Care Coordinators, Therapist and Clinical Nurses. Interrelationship: Must have the ability to communicate all pertinent information to Clinical Director, Medical Director, and Corporate Executives, as needed. As well as develop, supervise, and encourage Clinical staff, CSW’s in the Mission and Vision of the organization.

Requirements

Must be an expert delegator, effective decision-maker and have excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate others.
Strong understanding of finance and how to write a budget.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills.
Exceptional computer, technological and analytical skills.
Knowledge of government regulations regarding patient privacy, medical terminology.
Must have strong time management skills and handle multi-tasking effectively.
Must have strong negotiation and persuasion skills particularly when dealing with uncooperative patients.
The Youth Clinical Manager position requires the applicant to be licensed in the District of Columbia in one of the following licenses (LPC, LICSW, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist).
Two years minimum direct-care clinical services with individuals with Mental Health disabilities.
Must understand the Medical Assistance requirements for Outpatient Mental Health Clinics.
Must be familiar or available to be trained on EMR system.

Responsibilities

100 % Note Review and countersign all CSW notes within 48 hours of it being entered into the electronic medical record system, Credible. Correct and provide feedback as needed for the purpose of ensuring a quality note (see MHRS 3400 Regulations).
Provide Minimum Weekly Individual or Group Supervision for CSW Team to provide support for but not limited to, Productivity, Clinical Content, Difficult Consumer Issues, DBH Updates, Corporate Updates, Training, Etc.
Direct the day-to-day operations of the team, including scheduling staff, to ensure appropriate coverage for routine and on-call hours. Ensures there is face to face coverage for 24/7 operations consistent with the organization's philosophy.
Attend mandatory Clinical Team meetings.
Provide Random Quality Assurance Checks with Consumers to ensure Professional/Quality Care. All Quality Assurance to be coordinated and documented in connection with the Quality Assurance Director, and Quality Assurance Plan. (Reference QA Policy and Plan)
Leads the daily organizational and Clinical meetings; continuously evaluates the status of consumers and does appropriate planning and coordination of treatment activities to ensure immediate attention to their changing needs.
Initiates and maintains relationships with law enforcement and other human services agencies, and with community resources, such as landlords, employers, etc.
Assist with facilitation of Monthly Patient Review in coordination with Clinical Director, Medical Director, and other members of Treatment Team.
Provide weekly Productivity for Clinical Team as well as other reporting tools to measure key quality and quantity indicators as indicated by senior management.
Assist with business development, and other creative ideas to reach budgetary goals as indicated by the budget, and senior management.
Provide management, supervision, service, and other related duties as needed to meet the goals of the programs located in the Washington DC location.
Other duties as assigned are deemed relative and relevant.
