About The Position
We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to fill the role of Youth Center Leaders at our community-focused organization this summer and fall! This role involves engaging with young individuals, providing mentorship, ensuring their safety, and facilitating various activities.
Requirements
- Passionate about working with kids.
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate school-aged (10 -18) activities.
- Ability to organize/lead fun and engaging activities.
- At least 19 years old, to drive Y vehicles, must have a valid driver’s license and be 21 years old.
Nice To Haves
- Behavior intervention skills would be beneficial, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Greet and engage with each youth as they arrive.
- Provide positive and appropriate mentorship for all youth.
- Maintain behavior expectations for all youth.
- Ensure supervision and safety of all youth.
- Facilitate fun and engaging group activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts.
- Prepare healthy snacks and meals.
- Reliability and clear communication.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Clean up the Youth Center with youth before their leaving.
