Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or adolescents preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure
• Knowledge of youth development principles and recreational activities
• First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Reliable, responsible, and committed to fostering a positive environment

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor youth and help ensure their safety and wellbeing while in the Youth Center
• Plan, organize, and facilitate recreational, educational, and social activities for youth participants-helping with homework when appropriate
• Provide guidance and support to youth, fostering positive interactions and personal growth
• Maintain a clean and organized environment within the youth center
• Enforce rules and regulations to promote a respectful and inclusive atmosphere
• Collaborate with staff and parents
• Address behavioral issues promptly and professionally, escalating concerns as needed
• Sell snacks, beverages and other approved items and accurately process transactions. Complete daily sales report.
