About The Position
Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Youth Care Worker - Nights at Tampa Bay Girls Academy in Tampa, Florida. Tampa Bay Girls Academy - Secure is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving high-risk and max-risk females aged 12-21. These programs provide services utilizing evidence-based practices to offer comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling. After 40 years of improving the lives of youth, we are looking for passionate advocates to continue the legacy of helping young people become successful adults. As a Youth Care Worker Nights, you will have the unique opportunity to create a positive, safe and supportive environment for the youth we serve while building a career rich in growth opportunities and self-fulfillment.
Requirements
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED
- One-year experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position OR 60 hours of college education
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and physical
- Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour security and supervision to always ensure the safety of our Youth.
- Monitor and document behaviors.
- Monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time.
- Assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.
