About The Position

OhioGuidestone is seeking dedicated Youth Care Specialists for its Berea residential campus. This role involves providing vital, out-of-home care for boys and girls facing complex trauma, mental health needs, and academic or emotional struggles. The Youth Care Specialist will provide safe, trauma-informed care for high-risk youth and partner with caregivers and placing agencies to transition youth back home safely. This position contributes to empowering the 26,000 Ohioans served annually across OhioGuidestone's diverse programs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED minimum
• 1+ years of experience working with high-risk/at-risk youth, corrections, or mental health populations.
• Ability to pass a free pre-employment screening (fingerprint background check, physical, TB test, and drug screen).
• Driver's license and car insurance

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Criminal Justice, or Youth Development.
• Strong understanding of adolescent development, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care.
