About The Position
OhioGuidestone is seeking dedicated Youth Care Specialists for its Berea residential campus. This role involves providing vital, out-of-home care for boys and girls facing complex trauma, mental health needs, and academic or emotional struggles. As a Youth Care Specialist, you will provide safe, trauma-informed care for high-risk youth, partner with caregivers and placing agencies to transition youth back home safely, and help empower the 26,000 Ohioans served annually across diverse programs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED minimum
- 1+ years of experience working with high-risk/at-risk youth, corrections, or mental health populations.
- Ability to pass a free pre-employment screening (fingerprint background check, physical, TB test, and drug screen).
- Driver's license and car insurance
Nice To Haves
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Criminal Justice, or Youth Development.
- Strong understanding of adolescent development, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care.
