Youth Basketball Scorekeeper - Seasonal
About The Position
The Youth Basketball Scorekeeper maintains the game clock and game log during the Park District’s basketball league games. The role involves monitoring the game area, operating and assembling equipment, and maintaining records and standings. The scorekeeper must be prompt when scheduled, follow district policies and safety rules, and work under the supervision and direction of the Athletic Supervisor. The position is seasonal, with hours on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings from January through March. The role works around the general population and may involve stressful situations requiring quick, accurate responses to emergencies.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to communicate in various situations.
- Knowledge of equipment.
- Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions.
- Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees.
- Able to work under stressful situations and respond quickly and accurately to emergencies.
- Experience is preferred but not required.
