About The Position

Maintain the clock and game log during games for the Park District’s basketball leagues. The role requires monitoring the game area, operating the game clock, assembling equipment, and maintaining records and standings. The scorekeeper must follow district policies, procedures, and safety rules; work around the general population; and respond quickly and accurately to emergencies. The position works under the supervision and direction of the Athletic Supervisor and may involve a modified or flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to communicate in various situations.
• Knowledge of equipment.
• Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions.
• Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees.
• Able to work around the general population.
• Able to work under supervision and direction of the Athletic Supervisor.
• Able to work under stressful situations and respond quickly and accurately to emergencies.

• Experience is preferred, but not required.
