About The Position

This is a Youth Apprentice Medical Assistant position at the Capital and Lily Clinic in the Internal Medicine department. The role is part-time, with day shifts, and requires the applicant to be currently enrolled in high school. The apprentice will perform work assignments linked to clinical department projects and goals, operate within their scope of authority as defined by the manager, organize and prioritize work, and collaborate on clinical projects.

Requirements

  • Applicant MUST be enrolled in high school
  • Candidates between the ages of 16-18 years old must be actively enrolled in a High School Diploma Equivalency program.
  • 12 hours a week
  • Between M-F
  • No weekends or major holidays

Nice To Haves

  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work assignments linked to clinical department projects/goals.
  • Perform functions within scope of authority as defined by the manager.
  • Organize and prioritize work assignments, raising questions and issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate and collaborate with others on clinical projects as requested.
